diy beard balm

Homemade Beard Balm

  • 1 tbsp beeswax
  • 2 tbsp shea butter
  • 4 tsp argan oil
  • 4 tsp jojoba oil
  • 4 tsp fractionated coconut oil liquid coconut oil, cold-pressed
  • 2 drops lime essential oil
  • 8 drops pine essential oil

  1. Add beeswax and shea butter to a double boiler. You can do this by placing a stainless steel bowl on top of a pot of boiling water. Leave the beeswax and the shea butter in the bowl until they liquify.
  2. Once they liquify, turn off the heat but leave the bowl on top of the pot and add the liquid oils.
  3. Pour in the essential oils.
  4. Pour this mixture into a jar and let it cool and harden.

Recipe Notes

*Your beard balm will be ready to use within a few hours.

*I recommend using a wooden spoon (or something similar) to scoop out the beard balm as using your fingers could introduce bacteria to the balm.

*I also recommend using organic ingredients as much as possible.

*You can use cedarwood essential oil instead of pine for an equally manly smell.
