Wake up to your life

Are you just getting by, are you just surviving, or are you loving life? Many people are ‘asleep’, much as I have been, off and on for years. We all need to wake up. Wake up to your life. We are all sleepwalking. Life has so much to offer. 

I love my family and my friends and I love spending time with them. I love my work and I have many great things in my life. But am I living the life of my dreams? Are you?

What are your dreams?

I want many things. What are some of my dreams? Well, I want to travel and make lots of money so I can live comfortably and easily pay the bills. I want to work from home, make my own hours and be my own boss.

Like many people, I dream of making lots of money for myself and my family and giving to those in need. I am passionate about helping others and I want to be in a position to give, to feed the poor and to make a difference in this world. What are your dreams?

Don’t give up

So many people don’t live up to their potential. Many people are not living the life of their dreams. People are not doing ‘work’ that they love (when you are doing something you love, it is no longer work). Some people have just given up.

Recently, I was speaking to a woman I know. She said she was fed up with her job. I tried to encourage her but she said she has tried and she has given up. She’s a great gal. She has a lot to offer the world – she’s always pleasant, always smiling and she offers superior customer service. She brightens my day. I hope she considers what I said.

UpdateI visited the place of work of the woman mentioned above. Apparently, she told a co-worker her goal was to leave that job by Christmas 2017. She resigned in October 2017. I hope she found a job she loves.

If you are thinking of giving up and succumbing to a humdrum life, don’t do it. Life has so much more to offer. You just need to work towards it. How you say? I’m already doing everything I can, you say. I say, don’t give up. Hang in there, you can do it. You got this!

It’s time to wake up to your life

Life is short. People are unaware of the possibilities and opportunities that exist. There is a different life out there for you. The life of your dreams is there waiting for you. It is within your grasp.

Methods for achieving your perfect life

Try the ‘Miracle Morning’ challenge

Check out this book (which is a very inspirational read) to prepare for your challenge. This guy, Hal Elrod, is very inspirational. He was in an accident and he was told that he may never walk again. He decided that he was not going to accept that fate, and he didn’t. He pulled through, wrote a book, started a blog and became very successful. He also gives away half of his earnings to those in need. I love that. He’s awesome.

The miracle morning involves six daily habits that will lead to the life you want. The six habits are life SAVERS – scribe (write), affirmations, visualize, exercise, read and silence (meditation). You’ll find many success stories in his book.

Use the law of attraction

You attract what you think about. So decide what you want out of life. Think about it, picture it (in your mind) and focus on it. Focus on the positive. Then ask for it and expect to get it.

Use affirmations

Affirmations are positive statements about what you want to attract in your life. So again, decide what you want. Then write it down and read these affirmations daily.

Practice gratitude

Experts say, in order to get the life you want you must first be grateful for what you have. I know sometimes this is difficult, but I’m sure you can think of something that you are grateful for (no matter how small it seems). Think of three things each day that you are grateful for. Learn more about practicing gratitude.

Create a vision board

Cut out pictures of things that you want. Then paste them to some bristol board or an art book. Study your vision board daily until you attract what you want. Learn how to create a vision board.
