The Best Healthy Sugar Alternatives
Are you looking to ditch sugar? Or maybe you’re looking to cut down? Or maybe you want to try to find something healthier?
Today I’m going to tell you about 3 of the best healthy sugar alternatives.
Before I get to the 3 best healthy sugar alternatives. I have a couple of honorable mentions for you.
Here are a couple of honorable mentions that didn’t make the list (they could have really but I left them out because I’m not as confident in these as the other three):
The first one is stevia. Stevia is a great alternative for regular sugar, and especially for sweeteners. If you are using sweeteners, please stop using sweeteners. They are made with chemicals. They are not healthy for your brain or your central nervous system.
Stevia is a good alternative because it’s made from plants and it has almost zero calories, which is awesome. I used to buy liquid stevia and a good brand I found was Now Stevia. I recommend you buy organic and non-gmo whenever possible.
Stevia can be a little bitter and it does take some getting used to.
The second honorable mention is coconut sugar. Coconut sugar is a natural sugar. It’s made from the palm of the coconut. It has a good amount of iron and zinc and it’s 35 on the glycemic index, as opposed to regular sugar which is 55. So it doesn’t raise your blood sugar as much as regular sugar. You can also use it one to one in baking.
3 Natural Healthy Sugar Alternatives
The 3 sugars that are the best healthy sugar alternatives are:
1. Date sugar
The first one is date sugar – this is just made from ground up dates. Date sugar is antiviral, antibacterial and it actually helps to kill candida. It’s actually very powerful for helping you to kill
candida. It’s very high in minerals.
Dates actually repel mucus. You can get a buildup of mucus in your body for various reasons and dates actually helps with this. Dates are an excellent source of glucose for your liver.
Date sugar is a little bit less sweet than regular sugar. The way you use it is by making a date paste and this is just made with water. So you can just google date paste (for a recipe) and you can use it in your recipes or you can just use date sugar in your drinks as is (or whatever you want to use it for).
2. Maple syrup
The second best healthy sugar alternative is maple syrup. Maple syrup contains antioxidants. It’s an excellent fuel for your liver. It has a high mineral content which is an instant fuel for your liver.
Maple syrup strengthens your brain and your nervous system.
3. Raw honey
The third natural healthy sugar substitute is raw honey. Raw honey is antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. 🤯
Raw honey actually has phytochemicals that protect you from radiation and cancer. It’s also high in minerals and it’s a healthy sugar for your liver.
Raw honey is a powerful brain food and it also, unbelievably, repairs your dna. Raw honey is amazing!
As you can see, not only are there some great alternatives to sugar but these alternatives offer some outstanding health benefits as well.
I wish you health and happiness,
