Natural Remedy for UTI
Antibiotics are the go to medicine of choice by Doctors for treating a UTI or bladder infection. But antibiotics cause more problems than they solve. This is because this so-called ‘medicine’ kills good bacteria in addition to bad bacteria. Good bacteria are important because it helps our bodies process food and absorb important nutrients and vitamins. Consequently, it was important for me to develop a natural remedy for UTI.
Antibiotics Are Not Your Friend
Overuse of antibiotics can contribute to problems such as yeast candidiasis (yeast overgrowth) and recurring yeast infections. As a result, antibiotics are not and an option for most people. This is just as well because natural remedies are certainly preferable. That’s why I developed this natural remedy for UTI.
Unlike conventional medicine, natural remedies do not cause side effects and/or additional problems. The more I learn about natural remedies, the more I am convinced that Mother Nature provides everything we need.
For example, Mother Nature provides us with essential oils. Essential oils have become my go to medicine of choice. They are especially effective in healing infections. Recently, I developed a UTI and tea tree oil is what I used to recover.
Tea Tree Oil
I used tea tree oil in this natural remedy for UTI because it has anti-fungal and antiseptic properties. In other words, it kills bacterial and fungus. Tea tree oil is a very powerful essential oil. I used one application and, much to my surprise, the infection was gone! Coconut oil is an anti-fungal as well. So the combination of oils in this natural remedy for UTI is a double whammy!
Essential oils are truly wonderful. Their ability to heal never ceases to amaze me. Here is my very simple recipe for a natural remedy for UTI:
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil*
- 3 drops of tea tree oil
Add coconut oil to a small container.
Pour in tea tree oil.
Apply to affected area (externally only).*
*You can apply this natural remedy for UTI more than once if necessary. My suggestion would be to use it once a day until the infection is gone. I cannot imagine you would need to use it for longer than three days, if even that long.
*Important: do not apply the tea tree oil without diluting it first in coconut oil (or another carrier oil) and do not apply it internally. Also, some people are sensitive to certain essential oils that can irritate the skin. To prevent a reaction, test a small area of skin (on your arm for example) to ensure you are not sensitive to the oil.
*Alternatively, you can use grapefruit seed extract diluted in coconut oil (use same combination). The same precautions apply.
Yes, it is that simple folks! Don’t succumb to those nasty antibiotics. They are unnecessary and unhealthy.
