Homemade Floor Cleaner – Pine

Homemade Floor Cleaner

There are a couple of commercial products that I miss deeply and Pine-Sol is one of them. I don’t use it because of some of the ingredients that it contains. That’s why I had to come up with a recipe for this homemade floor cleaner with pine essential oil.

You can find more info about the ingredients in Pine-Sol HERE, as well as the rating it receives (by the EWG – Environmental Working Group).

Homemade face cream

As a side note, the other product I really miss is Noxzema. So to make up for that, I made my own homemade face cream (cold cream) that is as similar to Noxzema as possible using minimal natural, non-toxic ingredients.

Anyhow, back to my homemade floor cleaner. I make my recipes as simple as possible, and this one is no exception. This homemade floor cleaner is for all types of floors but with a small tweak, it is great for wood floors as well.

Alternative recipes

If you have wood floors, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil for a shine and a polish.

The recipe calls for lemon or lemongrass essential oil however, you can omit these essential oils and just add pine essential oil if you like.
