Hi, I'm Kenda, a Natural Health Consultant.
I provide guidance, support, education and resources to help you manage your symptoms naturally, feel better and get on with your life.
I started to experience anxiety in my early 20s. I developed social anxiety, and this went on for the next 20 years.
I struggled with this anxiety for so long, mostly by myself. No one really understood, and no one knew how to help.
How did it start?
My mom died when I was four. Not long after, my stepmother came along. She was great (and she still is great), although I didn't think so at the time. But it didn't take long before we developed a great relationship. She is still in my life to this day.
After losing my mom at such a young age, I became very close to my dad. And, when I was 21, I lost my dad too.
I was devastated. That's when the anxiety started, and it got bad. Really bad.
I couldn't even talk to my close friends and family without my face turning beet red. It seemed like there was no reason for this to be happening. But, there's always a trigger.
My Natural Healing Journey
Not long after I developed anxiety, I decided to try medication. But I only took medication for about two months because I decided I didn't want to be on medication for the rest of my life. I wanted to fix the problem.
So, I put up with anxiety for many years and I managed it the best I could. I tried many ways to relieve it and I had some success.
I used natural remedies, affirmations, breathing exercises, mindfulness and many other techniques and methods. These all helped a lot, especially the mindfulness training - I highly recommend it as a step toward healing.
Between the mindfulness training and learning to change my negative thoughts patterns, I was finally able to relieve the debilitating anxiety I had been feeling for so many years.
When I discovered my triggers and changed my thought patterns, I finally felt relief!
Healing 20 years worth of anxiety was a great challenge for me, but after accepting the way I was feeling and changing the circumstances that didn't serve me, I was able to finally heal, feel better and get on with my life.

I have degrees in Psychology and Social work, I worked as a counsellor for 10 years and I healed after 20 years of suffering with anxiety myself.

I don't feel they are very safe, especially long term. However, I think you should do whatever you feel is necessary.
